Lagu ini ciptaan Tagor Tampubolon, pertama dipolulerkan oleh Eddy Silitonga pada awal 80an, banyak aspek yang membuat lagu ini populer, notasi, alur cerita dan range tone yang tidak begitu sulit untuk dinyanyikan oleh siapa pun.
Lagu ini beberapa kali memboyong piala, apabila ada perlombaan Karya Cipta Lagu Batak. Sekarang lagu ini menjadi populer semenjak diaransemen oleh Viky Sianipar dan dinyanyikan oleh Edo Kondologit. Nice!!!
